Privacy

Short, because we collect almost nothing.

Who we are

sordino is an independent Mac app. For anything in this policy, email [email protected].

What we collect, and why

If you join the waitlist, we store three things: your email address, the time you signed up, and the version of the signup wording you saw. We use them for exactly one purpose — emailing you about sordino's launch. That's what the form says, and that's the agreement (in GDPR terms, the legal basis is your consent).

Where it lives

The list sits in a database at Cloudflare, the company that also serves this site. They host it on our behalf and get no rights to use it for anything of their own.

What we don't do

No selling, no sharing, no ad tech. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and makes no requests to anyone but Cloudflare. The theme toggle remembers your choice in your browser's local storage, and that never leaves your machine.

How long we keep it

Until the launch announcement has gone out and the waitlist is wound down — or until you ask to come off it, whichever is sooner. Any email we send includes a way to unsubscribe.

Your rights

Ask and we'll show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it — email [email protected] from the address in question. If you're in the EU or UK these are formal GDPR rights, including the right to complain to your local supervisory authority. We honour the same requests from everyone, everywhere.

Changes

If this policy changes, the version below changes with it, and every signup is tagged with the version that was live at the time.
